No More Homeless Pets (NMHP) was started as a coalition of area animal welfare groups, governmental entities, and individuals concerned about the unnecessary euthanasia of pets in our area.  In 2002, NMHP incorporated as a 501c(3) to act as an umbrella organization to foster cooperation, communication, and collaboration among animal welfare groups in North Central Florida in their efforts to increase adoptions, increase spay/neuter, and decrease euthanasia of dogs and cats.

To carry out its purpose, the Corporation has the following organizational goals:

  • To act as an umbrella organization to foster cooperation, communication, and collaboration of all area animal welfare groups
  • To end euthanasia of healthy cats and dogs locally through increased sterilization and adoption programs
  • To enhance the quality of life for pets and their owners through humane education
  • To assist area animal welfare groups with fundraising events and volunteer support activities
